DOLPHIN LODGE

DOLPHIN ISLAND LODGE is located on Uaguitupu Island, a private island directly across from the Kuna Island and community of Achutupu, aproximately 200 kilometer east (as a bird flies) from Panama city. The ocation is a about half way between Kuna Yala (San Blas) and the eastern and of the Archipielago near the Colombian frontier and Puerto Obaldia.

The word Uagui in the Kuna language maeans Dolphin. The word Tupu in Kuna means Island. Putting the two words together we have Dolphin Island.

Departure from Paitilla airport, 50 minutes flight arrive to Achutupu and will transfer by motorized dugout canoe for five minutes trip to Dolphin Island Lodge.

The Lodge has capacity for 20 guests and there is no minimum number of guests required, the lodge has outside fresh water showers and toilets, also 3 comfortable double size beds in each kuna style thatched cabin. The Dolphin Island Lodge has no electricity and uses propane gas for cooking and refrigeration. When you have setted in a breakfast will be waiting for you in the bohio dinning room. Lunch and dinner will features delicious San Blas seafood. Tour of Neighboring Island community o f Achutupu to observe the indian culture.
