THE CANAL FROM THE SKY

Enjoy a helicopter tour. The flight over the Panama Canal, which was built between 1903 and 1914, begins at the Paitilla airport. We will fly over the ruins of Panama La Vieja, Las Bovedas and the colonial-era city center and the Amador Causeway and the islands it connects to the mainland. From there you'll get an unforgettable view of the Bridge of the Americas that spans the canal's Pacific entrance, flanked by Howard Air Force Base and Ancon Hill, with its giant Panamanian flag. The flight will proceed over the Panama Canal for a look at the Miraflores and Pedro Miguel locks, and then take in views of Gamboa and the spectacular Culebra Cut.
