CANOPY TOUR
Our adventure begins at 7 in the morning, when we leave the hotel by automobile, taking the Inter-American Highway for about two and one-half hours, until we get to a spectacular waterfall called El Macho, in El Valle de Anton. Along the way, we'll pass interesting tourist attractions like the Bridge of the Americas, the Panama Canal and buildings that date back to the turn of the century. The Canopy Tour, as it is commonly known, is an experience that offers adventurous tourists the opportunity to go up to the forest treetops and see jungle life from a perspective previously available only to researchers and photographers. Don't forget to bring shoes and socks suitable for climbing, insect repellant and a change of clothing in case of rain. Once we're on the turnoff to El Valle, we'll travel for about an hour through natural areas to learn about rain forest wonders and observe the region's fauna and flora. Usually we'll encounter tree sloths, iguanas, toucans and other wild life of this private reserve. Then you can say that the trip there ends where the adventure begins.... After a brief rest, you will proceed up through the jungle ceiling and take the trail above. Here, where your adrenaline starts flowing, you travel along treetop cables through the dense forest. It is good to remember that expert guides will be with you throughout this safe and fun adventure in El Valle's virgin forests. Concluding the day's action, in the afternoon you will enjoy various traditional Panamanian foods. Before we head back to Panama City, take some time to visit the public market, the local museum, the El Nispero zoo and botanical gardens. DURATION: Full Day MINIMUM: 4 PAX INCLUDES: Transportation, lunch and canopy tour. |
